Tramaine Williams

Tramaine Williams was killed April 16, 2014. Sixteen-years-old and a junior at Cesar Chavez High School, Tramaine was on his way to a friend’s house to play video games at the time of the accident. Tramaine had just picked up snacks and was a block from the house. Tramaine was struck by a suspected drunk driver as he was crossing the street. Chase Weatherton was waiting on the front steps for Tramaine when he heard the sound of a car tires squealing and of metal hitting concrete. After waiting for a few minutes, Chase got worried when there was no sign of Tramaine. Chase came across the crash scene and saw Tramaine’s shoes in the middle of the cross walk and saw the bag of snacks scattered throughout the intersection. Tramaine was transported to a nearby hospital with faint vital signs but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Tramaine enjoyed playing football, spending time with friends and gaming. Tramaine will be remembered for being a safe school ambassador and for being a friendly, smart and sweet young man.

Tramaine is survived by Joyce Lattrice, sibling Jermaine Williams, and grandparents Alma Spivey and Henry Jones.

A memorial service for Tramaine will be held Heavenly Gate Missionary Baptist Church on April 22, 2014, at 11:00 a.m.
