It’s that time of year again, stores are packed and shelves are empty, but homes are filled with holiday spirit. Christmas trees are up, mistletoe is dangling, wreaths are hanging and lights are glistening. What’s being a part of the jolly season without going to see the alluring Christmas lights with friends and family! In Stockton, there are about 10 neighborhoods you can enjoy visiting during this time of year.

Neighborhoods such as Brookside, Stonewood, Spanos Park, Civic Center, Country Club, Pacific, Lakeview, Lincoln Village Proper, Weston Ranch, and Valley Oak are all ready for viewing pleasure. They are filled with amazing lights and Christmas-themed inflatable characters. From characters like the Grinch to reindeer and even many different Santa Clauses with yards and houses are sparkling with spirit. You will also spot light-up spiral trees and deer.

And of course “Christmas Lane” should be at the top of every single Christmas-themed community place to visit. The 1400 block of Meadow avenue between Pershing and Alexandria houses one of, if not the best areas for lights in the entire county. Lights are displayed from sundown until at least 9 pm with occasional visits from Santa and carolers.

On most houses, you’ll find every inch of it covered with white or colorful lights such as red, green, blue, orange, and yellow. You can also find roofs covered with light-up snowflakes, trees, and bushes wrapped with vibrant lights of all colors, and driveway canopies are veiled with holiday lights. You might even be lucky enough to have a glance of Santa and his handy helpers cruise by on the roof or in his old-time fire engine decked out in lights.
