As of Thursday 1/9 at 6:30 A.M. PST, GameFreak and the Pokemon Company introduced, a remake of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, named “Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX.” It will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on March 6, 2020. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is the same story as the original, but in the trailer they introduced Mega Evolution new to the game.

They also had a second surprise to share and that was the introduction of two DLCs that will be coming by the end of June 2020 and Autumn 2020 for Pokemon Sword and Shield. The DLCs are called “The Isle of Armor” and “The Crown Tundra.” Both expansions will cost $29.99 (as shown in by Nintendo eShop).

Part 1, The Isle of Armor pass takes the player to a new area and introduces a new character named, “Mustard”. He is your new mentor, once a mentor of Leon, the previous Champion of Galar, and a Champion of Galar before Leon. During your training with Mustard you are given a Legendary Pokemon named Kubfu, a fighting-type which is important to the story. As you progress Kubfu will evolve into Urshifu with two distinct styles depending what you choose. Single Strike Style which makes Urshifu a Fighting/Dark-type or Rapid Strike Style a Fighting/Water-type. These two styles will have different Gigantamax forms.

New rivals will be introduced with differences in both versions. For example, Pokemon Sword’s rival Klara, a poison-type trainer and Pokemon Shield’s rival Avery, a psychic-type trainer. The Galar starters, also Blastoise and Venusaur, will be getting a Gigantamax form. Adding tutor moves with completely new moves, apricorns from Gen 2 makes a return for making Poke Balls, and an Exp. Charm increases team’s Exp. Points.

Part 2, The Crown Tundra pass takes the player again to a different area. It introduces a new Legendary Pokemon, Calyrex Psychic/Grass-type, two new Regis. New Galarian forms of the Legendary Bird Trio, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will aslo be included. A new Co-op Mode that will let players explore the caves that you can’t normally explore before in Max Raid Battles. All previous legendary Pokemon from Generation 1-7 now appear in these caves. New clothing for your character will come with the expansion as well.

What do you think about the latest Pokemon? Will you be playing the expansion or Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Recuse Team DX?
