Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 are officially coming to North America for the PlayStation 4, as part of the Yakuza Remastered Collection. The Yakuza Remastered Collection was revealed on August 20th, during IGN’s Gamescom live show. The Collection updates the three Yakuza titles in 1080p and 60fps for the PlayStation 4. However, the Yakuza Remastered Collection will be released in a dragged out fashion. Yakuza 3 was released weeks ago on the PlayStation 4, and Yakuza 4 will unlock on October 29, while Yakuza 5 will unlock on February 11, 2020.

Yakuza-series producer Daisuke Sato was on stage with IGN to reveal more details about the Yakuza Collection. He revealed during the remaster process that there were some adjustments made to the games. Some changes include a completely revised English script, quality-of-life improvements, and the re-addition of cut content. Content like shogi, mahjong, and the massage parlor that never made it out to North America in the previous release of the Yakuza games, are now available as part of the Yakuza Remastered Collection. Although it is not a full remake like the Yakuza Kiwami games, the new collection does include more content than before.

Sega also announced that there will be a limited, physical run of The Yakuza Remastered Collection: Day One Edition will be available on the same day as Yakuza 5, February 11, 2020. There is also a Yakuza Origins Digital Bundle currently on sale in the Playstation Store that includes Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 for $49.99.
