5 Games to Look Forward to in 2020

Due to the recent occurrence of E3 2019, which took place on June 11th, a bunch of games were announced and left fans excited for the year 2020. There are a lot of anticipated games, but we chose five of the most anticipated games to be released in 2020. Here’s our list of the five games that we chose:

Watch Dogs: Legion

Watch Dogs: Legion is the latest entry to Ubisoft’s open-world adventure series, and takes us to the near-future vision of London which sits in a dystopian aftermath of Brexit. Due to the several game-play teasers, it was revealed that players aren’t playing as individual members/characters, but rather a collective group of characters that you are able to switch between with a press of a button. In Legion, you can play as every single character which roams the open-world, but first you must recruit them to the Dedsec cause. Ubisoft confirmed during its E3 2019 press conference that Watch Dogs:Legion will be launching for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 6 2020. This game has so much potential for the player to explore and enjoy the open-world game-play due to the new game-play mechanics. If you are looking for an open-world game to invest time into, Watch Dogs: Legion is for you.

Cyberpunk 2077

The Cyberpunk 2077 trailer released at E3 2019 gained a lot of attention due to the surprise reveal of Keanu Reeves. The actor announced he’ll be playing in CD Projekt Red’s new game which was shown off at Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference. Cyberpunk’s cinematic trailer bought viewers to Northern California in which a deal goes wrong between two characters, but the highlight of the trailer was from Reeve’s appearance. The game is set to be released on April 16, 2020. If you are looking for reasons to buy this game, there is one: Keanu ‘frickin’ Reeves!

Marvel’s Avengers

Square Enix showed off Marvel’s Avengers at E3 2019 with a kind of disappointing cinematic trailer, as many fans had high expectations due to many thinking it would be like the MCU movies. However, don’t let this fool you. Some people had gotten the opportunity to play a small portion of the game, and after several reviews, many agree that the trailer doesn’t correctly represent the potential of the game. Being able to play as different characters from the franchise allows the player to explore the differing types of combat, which is a very important aspect of the series. The game is set to release in May 15, 2020, so there is a lot of time for improvements to be made visually and game-play wise. A reason to buy this game is if you like Marvel and superheroes with a great co-op experience.

Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite was also shown off at E3 2019 in the form of a cinematic trailer and will be the 6th installment of the franchise. As for the trailer it didn’t show much. There was no actual game-play, however the game looks visually stunning. The game looks like it will be going back to its original roots of the older games like Halo 2 and 3, as it will be a spiritual reboot for the franchise. The game will introduce new characters and a chapter for Master Chief. 343 Industries haven’t gave an actual release date yet, but it will release in the holidays of 2020 alongside with Microsoft’s new rumored console, the Scarlett. If you are looking for a reason to buy this game, it will provide a fun experience for you to enjoy with a new story that any new players can pick up.

Zelda : Breath of the Wild Sequel

Two months ago, on June 11th,  Nintendo released a cinematic trailer at the end of their E3 2019 press conference which many suspect to be the sequel to Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the winner of the Game of the Year Award in 2017. The trailer was filled with hidden messages that fans are currently deciphering, such as the mysterious audio and background images which many believe to contribute to the story of the franchise. In terms of game-play, it will probably be a similar style to the first game, but with new additions such as character abilities and possibly even a new playable character. There have been speculations of this game releasing near the end of 2020, but there has been no official news regarding release dates. If you loved Zelda: Breath of the Wild, then you will probably also love the sequel!

These are the five games that we believe are some of the most anticipated for the year of 2020. We hope that you may have found some interest with these games and will be looking forward to them like many other people. Along with many other new games to be announced next year in 2020.
