Shipwrecked and Lost

It’s a great comedy and even though it is an old show, it is still an interesting show to watch.

The show “Gilligan’s Island” is an old show from the year 1964. This show is about a group of people who are going on a boat tour and the they get into a shipwreck because of a storm that was happening at the time of the tour.

“Gilligan’s Island” had six main characters in the show. Mary Ann Summers is a young farm girl who happen to be on the boat. Ginger Grant was a big time movie star, the professor Roy Hinkley was the smartest of the group and a high school science teacher. The rich couple, Thurston and Lovey Howell. Jonas “Skipper” Grumby is the captain of the ship and has his loyal crew member, Gilligan by his side.

In the episode where the singing group “The Mosquitoes” were featured the group contained four members: Bingo, Bongo, Bango, and Irving. They were on the island because they wanted to get away from the crazy fans and they ended up doing private concerts for the people stuck on the island. They felt insulted by the girls when they sang a song and left the whole group on the island and didn’t rescue them.

This show is basically the original “Lost” because it is very similar. The people get into some sort of freak accident and get stuck on an island. No one knows the people are there and they have no choice but to wait for someone to maybe rescue them. In both “Lost” and “Gilligan’s Island” the few people that are stuck on the island tend to make a lifestyle out of there experience. The group of people didn’t know one another, yet they manage to survive together and make things work.
