Mr. Kee Retiring

For the last 10 years many great teachers have retired. The many teachers have plans for retirement. One teacher is Mr. Kee who has been here for 9 years. As a report we have interview Mr. Kee and got is responses on paper. We did a short question and answer to Mr. Kee.

What subject do you teach currently? 

Mr. Kee teaches Medical office and Computer Ed.

How long have you taught those subjects?

Mr. Kee has taught Computer Ed for 15 years and Medical office 5 or 6 years.

What do you plan on doing during your retirement?

“I plan to play golf, travel, spend time with my grand kids.”

Where would you like to travel to?

Mr. Kee would like to travel anywhere with no specific countries.

What hobbies do you have?

Mr. Kee likes to cook, play the ukulele, and gardening.

What other schools have you taught at?

He has taught at Marshall middle school.

Mr. Kee has taught at Marshall middle school for 5 years.

How long have you been at Chavez?

He has been at Chavez for 9 years.

Have you enjoyed your time at Chavez?

He has enjoyed his time here at Chavez.

What is your favorite thing about teaching?

“The satisfaction of seeing my students improve.”

Can you describe your time here at Chavez?

“It was demanding, there’s good days and bad days.”

What made you become a teacher? 

“My wife told me to do it, thought I would be good at it.”

What is your favorite college class?

“All of them.”

“There’s accounting, physical science, oceanography, business management, and design architectural.”

What teaching strategies do you like to use?

“I use my overhead a lot and I like to give one on one instructions.”

What is something you will always remember at Chavez?

“Seeing students succeed or prove and seeing students grow to freshmen to senior and become more responsible.”

After retirement, do you plan to become a sub at all?

” Maybe, never say never”

Is your wife glad you are retiring? 

“Yes she is glad”

Is it a relief that you are retiring? 

“Yes it is”

Are you going to miss any students?

“I will miss the ones that worked hard and were successful”

Are you going to cry at the last day of school? 

“No, I’ll be dancing on tables”

Did you have any other job before retiring? 

“Yes restaurant business”

What was your favorite subject as a teacher? 

“Medical office”

Would you like to work at any other place after retiring?

“No I do not.”
