La’Mare Johnson

La’Mare Johnson was killed April 15, 2014. Sixteen-years-old and a junior at Cesar Chavez High School, La’Mare was involved in a suspected drunk driving related collison. La’Mare and her friends were on their way home after going to the movies when their car was rear-ended at a red light and pushed into the intersection where it was hit by two vehicles traveling at the speed limit. La’Mare suffered severe injuries and was rushed to a local hospital with faint signs of life, but by the time La’Mare arrived at the hospital, she had lost all signs of life and was pronounced dead.

La’Mare had plans of attending a four year college after her graduation from high school.

La’Mare is survived by her mother Earicka Johnson, siblings Arriona, Taricka, La’Mia, My’Lona and La’Taysia.

A memorial service for La’Mare will be held at the church of New Life on April 20 at 10:00 a.m.

La’Mare will be remembered for her goofy, outgoing and respectful nature.
