NFL Season – My Predictions

NFL Season - My Predictions

Another NFL season is upon us and its going to be the 100th season of the NFL. The season kicks off on September 6, Thursday evening and that is when every team will begin competing for a chance to play in this years Super Bowl. Its hard to predict how teams will play out over the course of 17 weeks, but based on teams schedules and rosters we will see which teams will make the playoffs. Here are my predictions for the 2019-2020 season.

AFC – The AFC has been dominated by the New England Patriots and Tom Brady for the past 2 decades. This is no surprise here, the Patriots will clinch the AFC East and have the best record in the AFC due to their easy schedule. Next I have the Kansas City Chiefs taking the AFC West, Patrick Mahomes who is the reigning MVP will lead his team to another great season. Moving onto the Houston Texans, I have them winning the AFC South. With the recent announcement of Andrew Luck’s shocking retirement, I believe that the Texans will win the division and not the Colts. Lastly probably the most surprising team this year is the Cleveland Browns and after all the disappointing seasons the Browns will make the playoffs this year to clinch the AFC North. This will mark the Browns making the playoffs for the first time since 2002 and they now have all the talent in the world to win. There is also two teams that can make the wild card, I would say the Los Angeles Chargers and the Pittsburgh Steelers are the best bets to wound out the AFC playoffs. The Chargers who have one of the most balanced rosters in the NFL, but have injuries to deal with right now. I believe the Steelers will be better even with the departure of Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown. I think that they will play better because of all the drama last year and be focused to get into the playoffs.

NFC – The NFC is a very stacked conference with about 12 teams can make the playoffs but which will? But I have the Philadelphia Eagles clinching the NFC East because they have arguably the best roster in the NFL and will have the best record in the NFC. Next I have the New Orleans Saints winning the NFC South, like the Eagles the Saints have a very good roster, but last season they slowed down in their last 6 games. That begs the question, can Drew Brees lead his team for another run? Now we have the Los Angeles Rams securing the NFC West, their roster is talented and with having one of smartest head coaches in the league in Sean McVay, they can do anything. This may be a surprise but I have the Green Bay Packers winning the NFC North the reason why I have the Packers here is because, I feel like there new head coach Matt LaFleur  and Aaron Rodgers are going to be great together and they have a good defense. Now we have the two wild card spots and I think it will be the Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Falcons. The Cowboys have a balanced roster too and they will make the playoffs with Elliot ending his holdout with 6 more years and truckloads of money. The Falcons, who get players back from injuries prior to the season starts as well as with the fixes they made to their roster through the draft allows them to take the final wild card spot.

This is my prediction for the up and coming season, but even I don’t know who is really going to win. If I were to pick I would say Chiefs and Eagles will play in Super Bowl 54. The season starts September 5th Thursday, when the Green Bay Packers will take on the Chicago Bears.
