On January 10th and 11th the Cesar Chavez High School Wrestling team had a tournament in Napa.

We interviewed Edith Ramirez, a senior attending Chavez High School. She is seventeen, and is on the JV team for wrestling.

When Ramirez was asked why she had joined wrestling out of all the sports here at Chavez she said, ” It’s my last year here, so I wanted to try a sport, and I chose an aggressive sport!”

She also went on to say, “Wrestling is a sport that is competitive, and it keeps me  fit.”

Cesar Chavez took 11th place out of one hundred other schools.
