A sophomore named Tyah Rattler plays for the JV volleyball team. She has been playing for four years. Rattler position is the middle blocker which is in the middle of the court with two outside blocker.

The middle blocker blocks the opponent’s hits where ever they may be on the court. The middle blocker will usually do hit quick sets and or serve to confuse their opponents.  They also have to watch the opponent’s blocker so they know where shes going and now where shes going to hit the ball.

Rattlers goals are,”to move to varities.”

Rattler has no one she looks up to in volleyball. The important thing for a middle blocker to have is height, quickness, strenght, good blocking skill and ability to read the setter.
