Enchiladas Have the Key to All of Our Hearts

Enchiladas have  been a family favorite since the first day that they came into our home. Since the first time that my mom served us this wonderful dish, our hearts were touched by their mouth-watering aroma and exquisite texture. I cannot stress enough how much I enjoy the deliciousness of my mom’s creamy enchiladas.

History 

My entire life my mom has continued to fill our home with the pleasant smell of her appetizing food. However, the aroma of her enchiladas has always been my favorite. My entire life, my mom has received our mole from my grandma after she comes home from her trips to mexico. Personally, that’s my favorite mole to have on our enchiladas.

Enchiladas are very creamy and in my opinion, are fun to eat, but can be very messy. However, you shouldn’t mind at all. The smell of all the ingredients and items added to the lightly fried tortilla filled with warmed chicken, add to such a mouth-watering aroma. The appearance also adds to the perfectness also adds to the perfectness of the dish. Tortillas completely covered with hot freshly-made mole, tasty queso fresco and crema blanca seem to be the best combination that I’ve ever tasted. However, my mom hates that I ask for it so often.

Next thing in line

The next thing in line is  her homemade Mexican rice that never fails to greatly accompany her main dish; I cant help, but ask for seconds. The taste is always just as perfect as the smell, especially when it’s right off the stove. After lifting the lid of the pan, and inhaling the scent of the rice cooked to perfection, I know that it’s now time to dig in. It’s my favorite time of day.

The real beauty behind enchiladas

The best part of eating enchiladas is that every time we eat it, my entire family eats together at our dinner table. It’s a great, warm feeling to know that we’re doing what we love most, eating. However, it’s even more special because we’re eating our favorite dish in the world, my mom’s enchiladas with her famous rice, cooked to perfection.
