?”Game of Thrones” is late night TV drama that is probably one the top three best shows on television. It’s on HBO at either 9 p.m. on Sunday, you’re looking for a feel good romp about a happy family this probably not the show for you. “Game of Thrones” is based on the novel by George R.R. Martin, a song of ice and fire. It first aired on HBO on April 17,2011. The first episode was called winter is coming that episode starring Sean bean as Eddard(Ned)Stark. It is honestly in my opinion one the best TV shows still airing to date on television.

It Stars Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister the youngest of the Lannister family. He’s also disrespected because of his dwafism. His sister Cersei Lannister played by Lena Headley terrorizes Tyrion and blames him for there mothers death caused by his birth. Jon Snow played by Kit Harrington bastard child of Eddard Stark the king of Winterfell  is sent away to be a soldier of the nights watch the guards of the wall that separates Westeros from the Wildlings and the mysterious white walkers. Daenerys Targaryen or the  mother of dragons the rightful queen of Westeros and the seven kingdoms. Making a  mad dash for the throne to take control of the seven kingdoms of Westeros.

Jaime Lannister(Nikolaj Waldau)  also known as “the king slayer” oldest of the lannister children is a arrogant and somewhat stupid jock kind of character. Samwell Tarly(john bradley) Jon snows right hand man though weak in strength still just as noble as his couterparts. He was sent to the wall by his father to toughen him up but instead of gaining strength he gains courage and confidence in himself. Arya Stark (Maisie Williams)youngest daughter of Eddard Stark tough as brass and very independent scours Westeros to search for the people who have wronged her in the past solely driven by revenge. accompanying her through most of her journeys is “The Hound” scarred by his brother is an assassin that only cares about money and revenge.

This show is about Nine noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros. Robert Baratheon, King of Westeros, asks his old friend Eddard, Lord Stark, to serve as Hand of the King, or highest official. Secretly warned that the previous Hand was assassinated, Eddard accepts in order to investigate further. Meanwhile the Queen’s family, the Lannisters, may be hatching a plot to take power. Across the sea, the last members of the previous and deposed ruling family, the Targaryens, are also scheming to regain the throne. The friction between the houses Stark, Lannister, Baratheon and Targaryen and with the remaining great houses Greyjoy, Tully, Arryn,Tyrell and Martell leads to full-scale war. All while a very ancient evil awakens in the farthest north. Amidst the war and political confusion, a neglected military order of misfits, the Night’s Watch, is all that stands between the realms of men and icy horrors beyond.

This episode last sunday is a little hard to explain if you have never watched the show  but I’ll try my best. So, Tyrion escapes Kings Landing and is finally free of the Lannister family. After the death of the father of the Lannisters twin. Cersei puts a hit on Tyrion for the death of their father. Daenerys Targereyan tries to reunite with her dragons after shunning them away also dealing with assassins going after her solders. In a flashback Cersei go to a “witch” and Jon snow tries to talk to the king of willing to give up  power to the king of the nights watch but the king of the Wildlings refuses and is burnt at the stake.

This is the best show  in my opinion on television right now. It keeps you engaged in this fantasy world through the many plots. The interactions between characters feel like real life interactions it’s very high budget show real life scenery extremely entertaining. I’ve never seen an episode that didn’t have on the edge of my seat
