George Robinson breaks another run

As a member of the Chavez Football Team, I am thankful for all of the support and coaching from all of the Varsity Football Coaches. The head coach, Coach Chicago has led our teams to great records including Varsity(7-3), JV(9-1), and Freshman(9-1) on the 2018 season. Although Coach Chicago is only the varsity coach, he has had a huge impact on all levels.

The strength and conditioning coach, Coach Smith, has helped all of the football players to reach their potentials by training them to be physically fit. Coach Smith was also the wide receivers’ coach and helped the receivers to learn proper mechanics and routes.

Coach Thomas-Grey also known as Coach Mario was the quarterback coach and offensive coordinator for the 2018 season. He was vital to the development of all of the quarterbacks in the entire  program.

Coach Vazquez, also known as Coach Jess, was the defensive coordinator and was responsible for coaching a very skilled and solid group of defensive players.

Coach Solice, the offensive line coach, helped to mold one of the best offensive lines in the SJAA conference. CCHS paired that with Coach Arinaga, the running back coach, and had a very successful running attack lead by George Romero Robinson.

Coach Somera coached the defensive backs and was responsible for the great secondary that Chavez put on the field each game. Last, but definitely not least, Coach Rigmaiden, the linebackers coach put out elite linebackers weekly who raised terror on opposing offenses.

Thank you football coaches for a successful season.
