Ronda Rousey is the current Bantamweight which is 125 pounds to 136 pounds. She has 12 wins, no losses. She’s also won all 6 of her fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship , all finishes. She began her MMA career as an amateur in 2010 quickly finishing all three of her opponents in under a minute with an armbar. In March 2012, she became the Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion by defeating Miesha Tate in four minutes and 27 seconds. In November 2012, the Ultimate Fighting Championship announced that Rousey had become the first female fighter to sign with the UFC.  Rousey’s fighting style is mostly judoka (practice of the Japanese martial art of Judo), she typically grounds an opponent with throws and sweeps and then seeks to finish her opponents with strikes or submissions. When she is fighting from the top position, she usually attacks with punches from the side control as well as in rear position, she often secures a back mount and attacks aggressively with head strikes. Rousey fought Bethe Correia on August 1, 2015 in Brazil, at UFC 190, winning the bout by knockout 34 seconds into the first round. Rousey dedicated the match to “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, who died the day before, commenting that Piper was one of her inspirations and had endorsed her use of his nickname.Rousey is expected to face Holly Holm on November 15, 2015 at UFC 193.
