Pushing Hard Lines

This summer I worked hard and achieved set goals I made for myself. This summer I’ve made effort to become faster and stronger. My 40-yard dash time dropped. These 40 times are important because colleges use speed as an important recruiting tool, I used to run a 4.67  I now run a 4.47. Long jump is a track event. My goal was to get my jump over 20. I improved my form and launching angle. The farthest I’m jumping now is a 23. I run track and am ranked number 4 running 11.27 in Chavez history. So I want to be first by the end of this track season because I’m already a senior. This summer was a big step forward to my goal. Also this summer I increased my vertical over 35 inches. This is one those things colleges like to see in an athlete. I was excited to achieve these goals this summer.
