that year. The game was a huge influence on the side scrolling genre of gaming. It was the best selling game in its genre for about 3 decades.  The game has done so well that it has come out with many squeals. Super Mario Bros is on the list because it is a fun game that provides many hours of enjoyment. It was also one of the fist games to have multiple worlds with several levels in each one. The point of the game is to get to the final boss Bowser in his castle beat him and save the princess. Along the way to the castle there is multiple worlds with many levels in each one. The worlds progressively get harder and harder as the game goes on. While playing the game you can get power ups. Some of the power ups include a mushroom with makes the player bigger which enables him to be hit another time, or another power up a fire flower that lets the player shoot fireball projectiles out of Mario’s hands.The game consists of eight worlds with four sub-levels called “stages” in each world. The final stage of each world takes place in a castle where Bowser or one of his decoys are fought. The game also includes some stages taking place underwater, which contain different enemies. In addition, there are bonuses and secret areas in the game. Most secret areas contain more coins for Mario to collect, but some contain “warp pipes” that allow Mario to advance to later worlds in the game, skipping over earlier ones. At the end of the game Mario gets to rescue the princess and gets a kiss for rescuing her.
