Road to Gold

I play video games and stuff

My name is Daymon Ho, I’m 17-years-old and currently attending Cesar Chavez High School. In my blog it will consist of my daily life with the main topic focusing on a game I frequently play called, League of Legends (LoL).

League of Legends is a fast-paced competitive game that blends both the elements of a real time strategy (RTS) and role-playing game (RPG) together. Two teams, consisting of five each, of powerful champions, each with unique design and play style, battle head-to-head across multiple game modes and battlefields. With frequent updates and a continuously ever-expanding champion roster, League of Legends offers endless replayability for players of every skill level.

Here’s a little background of my play time with LoL. I’ve been playing since season 1, which was released world-wide on October 27, 2009. You can say i’m a veteran at this game, but I haven’t took this game serious until around the ending of season 2, where I started to rank my way to the top. After ranking for not so long, I fell short on my ladder matches. Only being able to achieve 1460 league points I was short by 40, thus placing me in Silver 1, instead of Gold 5. As season 3 started, I took some time making my way to gold that being a short journey, I then took a hiatus from the game missing the rest of the season, but now coming back to play competitively again.

Season 4 has just started for me and I’m doing terrible. Being placed in Silver 2 and failing my promotions from Silver 1 to Gold 5 about four times was just the worst of luck. As of today, April 28, 2014, I’m now currently demoted back to Silver 2 and now trying to work my way up in the ranks, hoping to achieve a high platinum rank or low diamond by the time the season is over. While trying to making time for my school life, social life and gaming life.
