The Simpsons is the longest-running show currently running on season 34. It has also been confirmed that it has been renewed for two more seasons. The very first episode of the Simpsons aired on December 17, 1989, this was the Christmas special named Simpsons roasting on an Open Fire. However, the episode wasn’t the original plan for the creators it was going to premiere in September instead of December. The producer Matt Groening made the pitch for the Simpsons in the lobby of James L. Brooks’s office building.

Matt named the characters of the long-running show after his family except for replacing his own name with the name Bart. His family appeared as ‘shorts’ on The Tracey Ullman Show, back on April 19, 1987. The creator, Matt Groening, said his goal for the show was to provide the audience with an “alternative to mainstream trash.” One of the Simpson’s biggest talents is predicting real-life events such as Lady Gaga performing at the Super Bowl, Trump becoming President, the Pandemic, and other real-world events shocking a handful of people who wouldn’t think in a million years that these things would ever happen.

A question a lot of people have wondered over the years is why the majority of The Simpson’s characters are yellow. In 2007 Groening explained, “The animator made the idea of them being a yellow color because he wanted them to be eye-catching and appealing while people are constantly flipping through channels and a flash of yellow goes by and your brain would naturally stop for a moment and start watching.

The Simpsons in the earlier seasons were going for a hand-drawn look so the artists that are working on the show were using traditional ink and paint cel animation they would work for 60 to 80 hours per week just to animate a minute and a half. Now technology has allowed a lot of things to just be better in every possible way.

The Simpsons are still going hard and still very popular after more than 30 years of being on TV. The show has a whole lot of real-world messages that they use regularly. They make a ton of people laugh and sometimes cry. The Simpsons will never stop entertaining your hearts no matter how long it’s been. It’s funny and charming, and it’s very unique in every way.
