Meet Matthew Toth, he teaches World History and Sports Psychology and is in his second year of teaching at Cesar Chavez High School. He enjoys teaching a new class this year; Sports Psychology which teaches the mental aspects of what goes on in the mind and how it can be altered when you are playing sports. He also coaches the new Girl’s Flag football team that began this year. He has started this program to give other opportunities to choose from for the girls at our school.
Some class expectations for his students were that “students lead the campus and should be the best and brightest.” His experiences at Chavez were that he felt “unbelievable joy and happiness and hot classrooms,” as well as “loves it like a second home.”
What he likes about his job is working with the students and seeing how they grow up in the future. Additionally being a part of their lives and being a change in their life.
He went to Franklin High School and some memorable memories that he had shared were “honestly every aspect of it, sports, events, being busy.” Mr. Toth has gone to 5 different colleges with a current one being at Rockers University getting his doctorate degree.
His personal hobbies are cooking and eating food. He enjoys eating pizza, asada tacos, and barbecue chicken. If there was a convention that he would go to it is Comic Con again.
He has two pets which are dogs named Jerry and Jojo. His favorite animal is a Bengal tiger because in his personal opinion, they are gorgeous.
A quote that was given by Mr. Toth was “Prepare for the unpreparable, expect the unexpected, and get comfortable being uncomfortable.”
Thank you Mr. Toth for being at Chavez and we wish you well on getting your doctorate degree.
