Edlyn Sarai Diaz

Edlyn Sarai Diaz  was killed April 16, 2014. Eighteen-years-old and a senior at Cesar Chavez High School, Edlyn was on her way to the library when she was struck by a suspected drunk driver. Edlyn was walking on the sidewalk listening to music when she was hit from behind and thrown into the street. Edlyn was pronounced dead at the scene.

Edlyn was an active member of AVID, Hmong Club, Friday Night Live and Health Club. Edlyn had plans of attending community college in the fall and with hopes of transferring to a four-year university with a major in computer science or social work.

Edlyn is survived by her parents Ena and Walter Diaz, brother Walter A. Diaz, sister Belkys Diaz and grandparents Tina Morraz and Pablo Afonzo Vargas.

A memorial service will be held at Cesar Chavez High School on April 21, 2014, at 12:00 p.m.

Edlyn will be remembered for being nobel, intelligent, attentive and funny.
