Ebone Jacko

Ebone Jacko was killed April 16, 2014. Seventeen-years-old and a senior at Cesar Chavez High School, Ebone and three friends were hit by a suspected drunk driver. Ebone, Celeste Jones, Brina Ieremia, and Aleah Traylor were in Brina’s car traveling southbound on Pacific Avenue when they were hit by a car the sped through the intersection of Swain and Pacific. Brina and Celeste were rushed to a near by hospital and taken into emergency surgery but never showed signs of brain activity. Ebone and Aleah were ejected from the vehicle due to the force of impact and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Ebone enjoyed watching and playing basketball and spending time with her friend Maria Herrera. Ebone planned to attend college in the fall.

Ebone is survived by her parent Romonozo Jacko, sister Monique Jacko and grandparents Josephine Davis, Diane Wilder and Larry Jacko.

A memorial service for the four girls will be held at Cesar Chavez High School on April 25, 2014, at 2:00 p.m.
