Cassie Makayla Lowe

Cassie Makayla Lowe was killed April 16, 2014. Sixteen-years-old and a junior at Cesar Chavez High School, Cassie was involved in a suspected drunk driving related hit and run accident. Cassie was walking home from Cesar Chavez High School following an after school softball conditioning practice when she was hit by a car speeding down Holman Road. When the paramedics arrived at the scene, Cassie’s softball bag and books were thrown into the orchard and Cassie was laying along the side of the road. Cassie was rushed via helicopter to UC Davis Medical Center but her injuries were so severe and she was unable to recover. Cassie was pronounced dead in the operating room.

Cassie was a member of CAST Club, loved playing softball and enjoyed art and drawing.

She had plans of attending college following her graduation from Cesar Chavez High School.

Cassie is survived by her parents Tom and Charlotte Lowe, siblings Deborah, Jessica, Damar and Terrance and grandparents Forrest and Wanda Wyman.

A memorial service for Cassie will be held at East Main Church of Christ on April 23, 2014, at 10:00 a.m.

Cassie will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, kind heart, and for being artistic and athletic.
