Brina Ieremia

Brina Ieremia was killed April 16, 2014. Eighteen-years-old and a senior at Cesar Chavez High School, Brina and three friends were hit by a suspected drunk driver. Brina, Celeste Jones, Ebone Jacko, and Aleah Traylor were in Brina’s car traveling southbound on Pacific Avenue when they were hit by a car the sped through the intersection of Swain and Pacific. Ebone and Aleah were ejected from the vehicle due to the force of impact and were pronounced dead at the scene. Brina and Celeste were rushed to a near by hospital and taken into emergency surgery but never showed signs of brain activity. Brina’s parents declared that Brina’s organs would be harvested and donated to save lives.

Brina was an active member of the CCHS Track and Field team. During her free time she enjoyed reading, drawing and talking with friends Anissa, Leah, Micah, Kristin, Elicia and Yolanda.

Brina is survived by her parents Roy and Puaolele Iemremia, brothers Roy “Ben” Jr, and Elijah, sisters Brittney and Brandy and grandparents Agalevaa and Leute Samifua and Seleni and Faamaimautpe Leremia.

A memorial service for the four girls will be held at Cesar Chavez High School on April 25, 2014, at 2:00 p.m.

Brina will be remembered for her funny, caring, goofy, and clumsy personality.
