Sacramento Kings vs Cesar Chavez High School (h)

October 24, 2022
Sacramento Kings will be doing a high school scrimmage tour to prepare for the upcoming season of having to face the following teams: New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavs, Phoenix Suns, Washington Wizards, and Charlotte Hornets. The Kings are selected to be a middle-of-the-road team according to the power rankings. However, they are going to be facing a lot of teams that are much worse this year. In order to best prepare for the lack of talent the Kings have contacted local high schools so that they can scrimmage against lower-level teams.
The high school players, however, will be challenged and rewarded with playing against NBA players. Talking with Coach Mack we agreed that this could only benefit his players and team by making them rise to the talent they are playing against.
“Since the Kings don’t have the best record, I thought maybe our boys at Chavez could use the experience of going against a professional team.” Head Varsity Coach Mack Harris explained with enthusiasm. “I know they are doing it to prepare for their season, but we have a season to prepare for ourselves. I have to have my kids take this seriously and prepare.”
“My hopes are to play the Kings on November 1st at our very own Chavez High school.” Concluded Coach Mack
