NVIDIA will no longer sell their newest products the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 graphics card on its own website and instead will be sold through their retail partners such as Best Buy.
The cause of this sudden decision happened shortly after the release of both the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090, when both series sold out immediately. Many issues came from bots buying the bulk of these products before customers. As a result, the people behind these bots sell these new products at higher prices than retail through 3rd party sites such as Etsy, Ebay and others. These inflated prices make it extremely hard to obtain either one of the new graphics card.
“In the meantime, we will be selling our GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 Founders Edition through other partners,” statement from NVIDIA. For anyone trying to get one of these new graphics card, NVIDIA estimates that it’s issues of supplying these cards will last until 2021. Many people can expect themselves to be able to purchase one by the new years.
