The game, War on Heroes, has players become freedom fighters aiming to defeat the ruling government by defeating waves of military troops. It’s a popular mobile game with ads, boasting a 4.9-star rating in the Google Play Store and half a million downloads. While it may appear to have been developed in Singapore, it was created by the People’s Defence Force (P.D.F.), a rebel group fighting the military in Myanmar. 
When the civil war started around 2021, the rebels wanted to raise as much money as possible to fund their own troops and buy weapons from weapons dealers. So they created a mobile game with ads, and it worked. It is raising thousands of dollars, allowing the rebels to buy the weapons they need and launch an offensive against the Myanmar Government.
