What is Cross Country?

Silence filled the scorching, dusty, and harsh air around the cross country runners. Hours of hard work throughout their week is going unnoticed. Cross country is often misunderstood as being the same as track. It is so much more than just running. It’s a sport in which teams run a long distance race on both grass and dirt. They also run up and down steep hills. Cross country benefits your breathing, posture, and overall personal accomplishment. Mrs. Monroe, the cross country coach, is a very kind and supporting lady that will help you proceed far in the cross country world. Anyone is welcome to come and support the Chavez cross country as the season is a fall sport and is currently in season.
